David Sexton is the Associate Pastor of Administration at DBC. He is responsible for the day to day operation of DBC and has oversight of all non-ministerial staff. He is in charge of the business operations, missions coordination, men’s and Women’s ministries, campus additions and maintenance, Christian education, and leads the Exploring Membership Classes. He was married to Karen in 1987 and they have one daughter, Hannah age 12. He received a BS from NC A&T State Univ. in 1981, majoring in Architectural Engineering. Before coming to DBC, he worked at Duke Power Company for 18 years. David was ordained in Oct. 1999 by DBC. His hobbies include traveling, saltwater and fly fishing and enjoying the outdoors. Most of all he enjoys time with Karen and Hannah.

What's the farthest you've traveled, or where would you love to travel?
South Africa on a mission trip. I would love to travel to Egypt.

What do you do in your spare time?
Enjoy time outside.

What makes you unique (something no one knows about you)?
I am an Eagle Scout and from the eight grade through college I was a cook in a seafood restaurant and I still enjoy cooking.

Besides ice cream, what is your favorite food?
Fried Chicken (no surprise being a Baptist pastor) and dark chocolate.
